About
Hi, I'm Hai
I design, build, ship and answer the email for everything here. This is the longer version of that sentence — how the studio works, and what I'm trying to make.
THE LONG VERSION
A studio that fits on one desk
dunhi started as a folder of half-finished things. I kept opening the same one every evening, so eventually I finished it properly and put it out. Someone I'd never met wrote to say it had become part of their morning. That email is still the reason this exists.
Everything since has kept the same shape. I sketch it, I build it, I answer the support mail, I write the release notes. Nothing gets handed off, which means nothing ships that I don't understand end to end.
If I can't answer every email about it myself, it's already too big.
Working alone puts a hard ceiling on how much can be in flight at once. I've stopped treating that as a limitation — it's the thing that keeps each product small enough to stay kind.

Design, code, support — all of it, from one desk in Việt Nam.
RIGHT NOW
Where the time goes
One thing in active development, everything else in quiet maintenance. The rotation is slow on purpose.
Come say hello
A question, a bug, an idea, or nothing in particular — it all reaches the same inbox.
Get in touch →How it got here
The short history, minus the evenings spent refreshing a dashboard.
Before
Evenings and a folder called maybe
Years of half-built things that never left my laptop. Useful in hindsight — I learned which ideas I actually wanted to finish, and how few of them there were.
First ship
The first one out the door
Small, unglamorous, and immediately more useful to strangers than it had ever been to me. I've been chasing that feeling since.
The rule
One thing at a time
I tried running two builds in parallel exactly once. Now there is a single active slot and everything else waits its turn, which is why releases are slow and support is fast.
Now
Still one person
Same desk, same inbox. Growing here means making the products better, not making more of them.
How I work
Four rules I keep coming back to.
Meaningful
I only start things I'd use myself, every day.
Friendly
Plain words, no dark patterns, a real person on support.
Playful
If it isn't fun to open, it isn't finished yet.
Timeless
Built to still make sense in five years, not five weeks.
Got something to build together?
Press kits, partnerships, bug reports, or just to say hi — it comes straight to me.
